Please select the painting size from the drop down that you are interested in. Once you add to cart, an initial deposit of $50 is requested to confirm your booking. Balance is paid on pick up day. Once you pay your deposit, you can email me many photos of your beloved pet to oilsbyakshaya@gmail.com, along with the pet’s name. I’ll select the best image from them and then your painting will be created based on that photo. It takes me 3 weeks from starting of a painting to pick up day.
The prices stated are for a neutral toned background with close up of the face. Prices are in CAD. Enquire price for full body pet portrait with environment, or for multiple pets in the same painting.
Sizes & Pricing:
• 4″ x 6” on oil paper – $85 total (comes framed)
• 10” x 10” canvas – $180 total (new option)
• 12” x 12” canvas – $250 total
• 14” x 18” canvas – $370 total
• 16” x 20” canvas – $420 total

What You Get When You Commission a Pet Portrait from me:
• Solvent-free oil painting medium (safe for the environment). I use pigment-rich professional grade oil paints.
• Your painting is created on archival quality canvas which I like to source from a local art store(not cheaper hobby-store quality). The painting is on a thick 1.5” gallery-depth canvas, ready to hang unframed.
• I can paint any pet- dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, pigs, reptiles, birds etc.
Extras & Options:
• Want to include a handwritten note? Just let me know! All paintings come wrapped in glassine and brown paper with one of my other original art greeting card for free.
• If you prefer a thinner canvas for framing, Just mention it when ordering. I also paint on wood panel, email me for that option.
• I like to add a retouch varnish as a protective final coat (not solvent-free, but it helps with protecting the painting for centuries)
Timeline & Delivery:
• Each portrait takes approximately 3 weeks from start of the painting to pick-up.
• Local pick-up from my Brentwood Bay, Victoria home studio in Canada. Shipping available outside Victoria at buyer’s cost.
