This workshop is perfect for absolute beginners or if you wish to improve your skill in oil painting.In this class we will dive into everything you need to know to get started in oil painting from palette to brushes to prepping a canvas. We will work on one painting for 4 weeks (You can paint your pet or I will provide a wildlife picture of an animal).

Some topics that we will cover:
Week 1 and week 2: Starting your painting
-Prepping your canvas, underpainting, learn about mediums, brushes.
-Learning some techniques on how to mix any colour and value accurately, use complimentary colours in your painting
-Understanding your reference image.
-Understanding basic rules of painting with oils.
Week 3 and week 4: Finer details and final touches
-Thinking about edges, transition values and finer details.
